The Wild Rumpus is a bookstore for young readers located in Minneapolis, MN. For this conceptual project, I refreshed their brand identity and created marketing collateral using the new look. I also created a style guide to display these designs and set guidelines for their usage.

Brand Design

The name "Wild Rumpus" is a reference to the picture book Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak. The redesigned monogram logo captures the mysterious, playful, and imaginative tone of the original story.

Some of the initial logo sketches

In the original book, the "wild rumpus" is a party that takes place on a jungle island. I illustrated a vine-themed repeating pattern to bring more color variety and cohesion to the Wild Rumpus marketing.
