Birds Every Child Should Know is a book written by Neltje Blanchan, originally published in 1907. I used ten thousand words from the copyright-free text to construct a reimagined concept for the book. I applied only two Pantone colors and a created variety of original illustrations for the design.
Tools used: Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop. Text via Project Gutenberg.
Illustrations

Each bird in the book has a unique illustration to go with its individual section.
